Toronto / Volgograd Association
I was attending night school classes at the University of Toronto, studying Russian. In my third year I met former Toronto mayor John Sewell. When I inquired about why he was studying Russian I learned about the Toronto/Volgograd association. That eventually led to my participation in the twin-city project delegation that visited Volgograd in 1987.
